The design and verification of steel columns and monotubular steel mast
seems at first sight, a very simple problem.
The static scheme,
a bracket with one or more concentrated mass
is the most simple thing that can be realized in structural ambit;
but a most careful exam of this structural type raises
more complicated problems.
Because of the wind action these structures
undergo important dynamic effects, and this complicates considerably
the calculation proceed.
The matured experience and the technology nowdays at our disposal,
allow our technicians to carry out the most refined calculation
having consequently optimised design.

Design
proceeding
Design of the structure and verification of the resisting section
were carried out with the aid of computer programs on the basis
of the methods established from the construction theory according
to the standard in force.
Design wind condition
Lighting columns (EN40-3-1)
In order to define the design wind condition You need to know:
- installation site and therefore wind area (Vref 25, 27, 28,
29, 31)
- configuration of the surrounding landscape that is ground
category (I, II, III, IV)
- trough the carriage load tables, according to the wind area
and the ground category, it is possible to know the maximum
carriage capacity indicated as wind exposed surface.
