OVERHEAD LINES COLUMNS

The particularly slender shape, the assembling simplicity and quickness as well as the cheaper prices compared with the lattice works, made it possible that the monotubular steel column found a wide application in the field of energy transmission.

The experience gained in designing and manufacturing such supports, proposes ourselves as qualified suppliers among the bigger Italian companies in this field.

T1 = Test draught applied at a distance of 10 cm from top column
Note.
Test draught or theoretic collapse draught is the value that generates a diagram of bending moments which approximate in favour of security (coefficient 2 - CEI 11-4), the diagram of the bending moment generated from the comprehensive action due to the conductors and to the wind pressure distributed along the shaft.
Enel standardization Ds 3010
Steel sheet welded columns with octagonal cross section, for middle and low tensions overhead lines, made of one section by cold shaped steel sheet grade according to EN 10025 and subsequent external longitudinal welding carried out by approved automatic process. Dimensional tolerances according to Enel DS3010. These columns are usually supplied completed with works as per scheme according to the type of column. Each column is identified by a mark reporting manufacturer name, code of the column and year of manufacture. Columns are supplied hot dip galvanised, by dipping into bath of melted zinc. For columns type L; A; B, usually is provided an external bituminous coat which consist in the application of a sheath of an application on the galvanised column, of a sheath made of bitumen and fibre glass resin. For other type of column usually this coat is not provided but it can be made upon request.

Steel sheet welded columns with polygonal cross section, for middle and low tensions overhead lines, obtained by cold shaped steel sheet grade S355JO according to EN 10025 and subsequent external longitudinal welding carried out by approved automatic process. Composed of 2 or 3 sections to be joined at site by forced overlapping. Dimensional tolerances according to Enel DS3012.
